Thanks for your link....I can't believe it, I do water changes every week and dont over feed. The plants I buy are from the fish shop, you would think that they would be okay. The tank I have the problem has clown loaches, will the antibiotic hurt them?

I bought a 75 litre container, put it on trolley, put a small bilge pump in the container, with hose that would reach into my tank, connected it up to a small battery and viola, tank filled in 2 minutes. To remove water from the tank, I just siphon it out the closest window.

I use hydrogen peroxide, fill a syringe and squirt over the algae, it won't hurt the plants or the fish, but kill algae. I have had some amazing results.

Try some cucumber, mine love it. I peel it and leave it in the tank o'night, they will clean it up once the fish have their fill.

Stringy white poo? Sounds like internal parasite. I had the same thing not long ago, I used Waterlife Sterazin. I love the Waterlife products, they don't hurt the plants and I am led to believe that they don't kill off the BB, they are also good to use if you have Clown Loaches or scaleless fish...
