Well, she's dead. We went ahead and buried her. Looking in her shell we found her missing legs and claw that never made it out. Have to assume that she got herself stuck when molting and panicked and ripped herself free, or she got some kind of freak deformity that caused this molting to go...
I dont' think they could. The biggest is barely an inch and the only change is we did recently add 2 cherry shrimp in there, but they're tiny. I think I see a couple of legs but it is hard to tell whether it is her leg, or the molted leg.
Hey all,
I have a Freshwater fiddler crab named Feefee that I've had for over a year never with any problems. This morning though she was in the corner missing legs and possibly her right claw. It looked like some stuff was folded up on her right side too. We saw her molted skin hanging upside...

I have no idea what is going on here. I have purchased my goldfish from at least 4 different stores in my area. I also want to add in some additional information about the tank. About a week before my white and red goldfish died I...
yes, we got two more goldfish in there. And one unfortunately has started to slow down and seem a little unhealthy.
Is it possible that it's the food? I've been using the same can for about 8 months now. I'll post my tanks parameters tomorrow.
I will supply water parameters in the morning. Here are the best pictures I could get. Notice the white spot near his lips, even holding him I couldn't tell what it was, but I don't think it's a fungus. Could be wrong though.
Just noticed him like this today so whatever is wrong with him is working fast. His upper lip seems to be weird. Like, there's some triangular thing sticking up from his upper lip. It seems like its part of his skin, not necessarily a growth. It almost appears to be a rupture but I can't tell...
Final Update:
Avalon passed away this morning. I was next to him as he took his final breath. It was heartbreaking but I'm relieved to know that he is no longer suffering. He's been buried next to his friend Goldeen, with a flower planted next to them.
jlk, I sincerely want to thank you for...
Just giving another update. Avalon is doing worse but is still struggling very hard. Unfortunately, he's gotten to weak to eat the Metro Med and has been moved into our 3 gallon and started treating with General Cure. He is able to eat regular pellets as they are much smaller.
I must...
He's still going but I feel he's only gotten worse. I'm able to handfeed him but it takes a lot of effort on his part now to get the pellet in his mouth. Scales are noticeably sticking up too. I really feel its not dropsy, and he is still able to stay upright so for now his swimbladder is ok. I...
When you say Prazi do you mean to use the General Cure? I see that it has Prazi in it. You warned earlier about using both that and Metro Med, and I don't want to misunderstand this. I've called every pet store around me and none have Prazi. Only one has anything that treats flukes but its some...
Unfortunately I don't even have room for a bin that size. He is very small though so I'll try to feed him 2-3 pellets in the morning and again at night. As it is he eats at least 2 a day. He hasn't been treated for flukes. That was just one fish we put in QT.
If, for instance, we do manage to...
Still no significant change either way. He comes up to eat and gets hand fed at least 1 pellet but then goes back to the bottom to rest.
Also, it appears that he's gotten a couple more small brown spots on his spine in between his dorsal fin and tail fin. They definitely weren't there before...
