I have a 29 gallon tank and planning on Caribbean theme. Thinking of having macro algae alongside an anemone and possibly some easier/ hardier corals. So some questions:
1. Green and red macros? Trying to avoid any species that may go sexual.

So your betta already hangs out ok with shrimp? Cool, congrats. Throw in low light plants for the inverts, like a moss ball or one of those mosses stuck on a piece of driftwood or coconut shell. That should give something to pick at/ graze on while your betta does his thing.

Caveat: Your betta might end up snacking on some shrimp. I'm sure that there are some bettas that don't mind some tank mates; snails seem to do ok with them. Hope this helps and good luck

Just an idea- You can also try making/ fitting a baffle at the outflow of your aqua clear 50. This may help divert the water around the tank.
