Just an update. I built it. Seems to work well. The water does create a lot of bubbles (yay!) and doesn’t seem to be too much. Just have to wait for the tank to cycle and add some fish! Prototype #1

I’m trying not to use copper based products since I have shrimp in the tank too. I’m worried if I try and pull the shrimp out they’ll contaminate my other aquarium... I just started keeping fish 2 months ago and it definitely feels like I’m getting the worst luck.

Confirmed velvet disease in my balloon molly tank. Brought it in from LFS on my male. Didn’t notice till it was too late and now I’ve lost the male and my Dalmatian molly. The queen of my tank looks like she’s infected too... I’ve got light off, heat up, medication in, and depression soaking.

Just an update. I put him in a quarantine tank for 2 days and kept the water at 80F. His color came back and he went back to being his usual self. Put him back in the main tank this morning. Keeping an eye on him today, but things are looking better!
