Hi Guys
Hoping u can help, I currently have a 55 gallon tank with:
12 Rummy’s
6 Neons
7 Male Guppy’s
5 Corydoras
5 Swordtails
3 Cardinals
1 BN Pleco
How many Cherry shrimp would I be able to add to this set up? I’ve heard they have a very low bio load?
Many thanks
Thanks for the advise, and yes sorry I meant to say I have 5 juvenile clown Loach. The longterm plan is to upgrade to a 6ft tank in the next year or so. I’m not sure whether to risk the Betta with the guppies then, I may just hold out for a while until there’s no guppies left to be safe
Hi Guys
I have a 55 gallon tank with clown Loach, corydoras, rummy nose tetras, cardinals, 3 male guppies & a bristelnose pleco. I really wanted to add a male betta? Would it work with 3 male guppies? There’s a lot of tall plants in the tank with lots of hiding places/ornaments as well.

Hi guys
I have a 55 gallon tank and I recently bought some SAE’s, just wondering if they would be compatible with a male Betta (Siamese Fighting Fish) as I would like to get a male Betta in the future.
Many thanks
Hi All,
Just wondering if Angelfish & Siamese Algae Eaters are compatible? Ideally wanted to have a small group of SAE’s in my 55 gallon tank to get rid of the black beard algae. I will be switching to RO water from Maidenhead Aquatics soon which should help but obviously this will take time...
Yea those blue ones look stunning! I rarely see them in the stores though. I’ll keep an eye out as I might get 2 blues and 2 others. Thanks for all your advice/help mate much appreciated
Ok great that’s decided that then I think I’ll go with 4 in a community tank and see how I get on. Can u get different types/colours of angelfish as in could I have 4 different looking Angel fish or 2 pairs of the different looking and they all still get along? Or is it best to just have 1 type?
Yea I did hear if you have odd numbers it helps with aggression but no idea whether it’s true. I’ll have a little think as I’m torn between whether to go for 4 Angels in a species only tank and have some tall plants & ornaments to break up the vision a bit or a Community tank with a pair.
Hi Everyone, I’ve got a 55 gallon tank (tropical) was thinking of getting some Angelfish in the future, what’s the best number to get for a 55 gallon? It will be a mainly Angelfish species only tank aside from some Corydoras at the bottom. Also how many Angelfish would be a good number if I...
