That last plant looks like what we call duck weed. The pond stores gladly share that with me to get rid of it, and I take it because my goldfish devour it! I am guessing that the second picture is some sort of string algae. You probably don't want that :(

I agree, you are looking to make a beautiful tank with community fish. I'll bet you will have folks remembering tanks that they had, if you include some of the old favorites..which are also the easiest ones! There will be pleanty of hard parts to your project..Eagle projects are never as simple...
