did u get that at walmart? my 55 looks exactly the same in every way. anyways, what do u plan to put in there?

im not familiar with the hydor prime canister, but rinsing the floss in water should be ok, just make sure if you rinse the bio media do it in tank water, or you will kill the bacteria on the media.

i was servicing my xp3 a couple weeks ago, and instead of pushing the disconnect handle, which stops water from flowing in the tubes, i decided to open up the lid for some dumb reason, and water was all over the inside of the stand. at least not much got on the carpet.

ive never owned a black knife, but a few brown knifes, and if what i heard is true, the black knife can get over 1 foot long, so a 55 would eventually become too small for the knife as it grows. i imagine angelfish would go good with the knife, because they are peaceful fish, but will eat a fish...

im not sure, i got my 55 gallon at walmart for $150 with stand, filter, and heater and lights, im not sure about online.

the government tried to go to metric, and when some town in the mid united states saw speed limit signs in km/h, they shot them up lol, and it would cost alot of money going to metric

i used to have a cichlid, forgot what kind it was, but he would put gravel in his mouth and spit them out somewhere else and would leave several spots around the aquarium where you could see the glass at the bottom, too bad he died :(

hello, im new here, and im about to buy my first canister filter, which is probably going to be a filstar xp2 or 3, but im not sure which size to get, and what media would you suggest using?
