    To cycle or not to cycle.... (2-gallon tank)

    I've had a 2 gallon betta tank, that I regularly do a 100% water change, and it has no real filter. Never had a problem, been doing it this way for a few years. Now does this mean you won't have a problem well I dono all I know is that I've been sucsecssfull doing things this way.

    Gourami and Cichlids together?

    How big is your tank? I had a problem like this with an opline and a gold, one thing that helped is I changed the aquascaping so that there wasn't line of sight form one side of the tank to the other. That helped quite a bit, but in the end I moved the opaline into another tank.

    those are black skirt tetras, they can be agressive. I had 3 about 6 years ago. There was one dominate one who quickly became the boss of the tank, at least until my pleco got to about 4" then he became much milder. It may have been due to age.     angles would be intereseting, any good sites that I could look at for their care and environment needs? and yes I do have hard water. also if I had a pair of angles what other fish would be sutiable for the tank, a small species of pleco? other alge eaters? Thanks

    I am in the process of cycling (fishless) a new 20H that will be a planted tank. So as I am waiting to the cycle to finish I was trying to decide on what to stock it with. I am thinking that I want to try a cichlid tank, it would be my first cichlid tank so I'm not really sure what I'm doing...

    as far as I know you are just going to have to clean up after the plecos your self. A gravel vac works well.

    I realy like the look of the various barbs, and I am in the process of setting up a new 10 gal tank. Right now while it's cycling I'm trying to pick the fish for it. Are there any species of barbs that would be happy in a 10? If not, is there another fish that looks simmular that would do well...

    Hornwort propagation.

    I was wondering if anyone knew how hornwort reproduces. I have one plant and I would like to start some in a second tank. Can I cut a bit off and will it start growing? Or how does it propagate naturaly? Thanks
