Thanks crazypants for the link. The worm seems to be gray toward the center of his body and taper into a red end towards the outside. It did not appear to have the fuzz on the outside like the fireworm in the link. Any other possibilities?
I was a little suprised to find this worm like creature in my tank today. He looks to be about 1 to 2 inches long. Any ideas on the name would be great. I hope its not a pest because i no longer know where he is.

Just picked this up this afternoon. The guy at the LFS said it was a dersa but I am not so sure he is right. I tried to get a picture of the mantel and shell. Any input is much appreciated.

Any time I ran into problems with my cup overflowing, it was because the return hose was to low in the water. I have my CSS 220 in sump and if my sump water gets to high, my return hose is then lower in the water and water will rush into the collection cup and overflow.

Mine seem to have stayed the same size as well, and my population is increasing. I agree, they are nice algae grazers. I have not found any down side to having these in my tank.
