Sometimes it will take a few tries before they get the hang of it. Mine lay all most weekly but end up eating them. One thing is that you water condition is obviously good and they must be happy so well done??

Is this there first lay? Iv got 2 that have paired up turns out they're 2 females and always eat the eggs! I personally wouldn't do anything yet see what happens.

Yeah good point I just come accross the situation on the net, never crossed my mind previously so thought I'd do a little more research. Knowing me I'd be that unlucky person and lose some stock! Iv found a way to prevent the micro bubbles now anyway so not worried?

They can be if they enter the gills it can suffocate them and also they attach to pretty much anything, if they attach to the slime coat of the fish it will take parts off.

I think what I'm best doing is holding back until I can afford a good LED set up yes the initial outlay seems a lot but you soon make that back on energy efficiency and reliability and not to forgot the light quality from LED's are much better

Hi all I'm looking at lighting set ups etc obviously the way to go at the moment is the LED route but some of these units are way out of my price range at the moment! I am currently using 2x T5s, what I want is your opinions on lighting that really enhances fishes colour....any recommendations...

Apart from the normal ageing water for a 24 hour period are there any other ways to de gas water for water changes?....I ask this as I wanted to do my large water changes direct from the the warm tap(obviously tank temp) the issue is the amount of tiny gas bubbles this produces which can can...
