    Crypt management

It seems to be that easy. I'm just in the habit now of trimming the tallest leaf every now and again to keep it in line.

    Thrift shop equipment id

So while walking through my local thrift shop I came across these. A us aquarium inc, and an Amiracle acrylic wet dry style filter. I've never used or seen these before but they have attachments for HOB use but I can't find any information about these. Mainly how is the water supposed to enter...

    Crypt management

As it was dominating the front of the tank and I have more in the tank I just went all the way with it. The fish seem to like it better with an area to congregate. As it comes back ill keep it trimmed lower and less unmanaged than before.

    Crypt management

It was an idea i wanted to try. I cut out a section from a 7gallon tall bucket and siliconed it in the corner. The actual filter on the tank is a fluval 307 with the intake and output hoses behind the overflow with the heater and the output is connected to the spray bar at the base. I made it...

    Crypt management

Thank you all i guess I'll trim a section and see how it reacts. I can't place it in the back when I made the filtration for the tank the spray bar is along the back wall and made the hardscape around it.

    Crypt management

I started a planted tank 8 months ago and everything has gone well. I've never had crypts before so I didn't really place them well in the beginning and I'd like to trim them but I'd also really like to not kill them. So how would I go about doing that? 40 breeder black sand over seachem...

    Betta fins turning white?

Looks like fin rot. Continue with the melafix treatment but do a a 50% water change after the week instead of the 25% the bottle will ask for. Youll might need to do more than one round of treatment. Do you know the temperature of the tank? Lowering the temperature down to 75 can help slow the...

What kind of snail is this?

Black racer nerite snails are my go to. Their eggs aren't viable in freshwater and they do a pretty good job with algae. 1 for every 5 gallons of tank has been to be a good ratio for me.

    OCD clown fish.

He seems to be alright if I move things at night once the lights are off and hes in his prepared sleeping area. If he sees me place something he goes to investigate and remove whatever change I made. If he wakes up to a change he doesn't seem to notice. My trumpet and zoas are open and growing...

What kind of snail is this?

Looks to me like pond snails. I would remove them quickly as the multiply very quickly and are difficult to combat once eggs have been laid in the tank.

I might have to try catching him. Luckily he doesn't care one bit about tank makes shrimp dotty back clown goby fire goby. He's lived with them at various points and never cared a bit

    OCD clown fish.

I have rescaped my 20 long aquarium and have begun to add corals to the rock work, some zoas, xenia, and a green trumpet. My 3 year old ocellaris is having none of it. He tail smacks the xenia he flips the xoa frag. I watched him grab the coral plug in his mouth and swim upward to dislodge the...
