My cories do just about the same thing. They'll clean up any flakes that don't get eaten at the top. They enjoy the shrimp pellets more than anything else I have tried. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

That's what I'm thinking. They all swarm to it, taking pecks at it. Maybe they just can't take nice bites from it yet. They're each about 1.5 inches so definitely not full grown
