I'm starting a new 10 gallon nano saltwater tank. It's an auto top off.

Does anybody know what this is called? Or how/where I can purchase it? It's 1 1/4" in diameter and was in someone's overflow to keep critters out.... I've found a really cool use for it that I'd love to share if I can find more!!!!

I sprung for a 10 gallon tank, moving up from my 2 gallon..... I'm going to run a HOB filter for now that I used on a 30 gallon before..... What size power head should I use in this tank? One or two? The HOB filter seems to be moving quite a bit of water

I'm thinking of going with a 30gallon display tank and a 30gallon sump. What would you all suggest for a return pump size? I know it's normally 4 times per hour.... But does that count for the DT and sump? Or just the DT?

Ok change of plans.... I found someone with 2 30 gallon tanks for 40.00, and that's hard to pass up! What size in and out bulkheads would you all suggest? Also, return pump size? Heater wattage?

Just a suggestion.... I love fish as much as the next person.... But in a 10 gallon the toxins could be hard to overcome (in my opinion not impossible, but hard).... Maybe look into only a clown and shrimp, or a Goby and shrimp for now... Then CORALS!!!

Thinking maybe a 10 and a 10.... Every time I think about it my ideas get bigger! Guess we'll see what happens[emoji51]

Hello all, I'm thinking about getting a 10 ish gallon tank and drilling it to allow for a sump without going over the rim. My question is..... What size bulkheads/holes and piping or hoses should I use for the drain and the return. I'm inclined to think the drain should be larger but I don't...

I was thinking of waiting for Petco to do a dollar per gallon sale and buy one to build a sump. I'm thinking a 10-20 would do well for it... I may even just have another body of water with sand and rock in it instead of building a sump. Not 100% sure on all of that yet. I've got a good HOB...
