I have a 55g I am wanting to setup for chiclid tank. What I would like to do is have a hand full of Bolivan Rams and one jack dempsey.....I have been trying to research to see if anyone has tried this combo and if it is a bad idea....If anyone has any info please share
I have been researching...Pretty sure I am going to go with a M&F pearl Gouramis...everything I have read says they are very peacefull and work well with tetras..thanks for the help all
Have a 30 gallon tank full cycled and all that jazz...as of now I have 10 neon tetras, 5 Rummy nose and 12 ghost shrimp...tank paras are all great ...colors are really nice on all fish plenty of hidding spots blah blah..I was curious how many more rummy nose fish I could add? I wanted to put...

basically the one with a metal back ...anyway I stuck it in ..came home that day and notice it was in two...
as long as you did your weekly water changes u will be fine..not sure if sunlight will be enough though...somthing that small ..light would be pretty cheap to get
well 1 wpg is very little light..and sand it not a good substrant to use for plants... If you have somthing to attach it to try Java Fern attach it to a rock or drift wood.. it does well in low light..also hit up Plantedtank.net ..good site about planted tanks
30 gallon tank fully planted..work on it atleast 10mins a day ....then 10% change once a week clean various things.. takes about a hour
other 30 gallon ..all fake plants ... 30mins clean sides and do water change
2 - 10 gallons - 30 mins for both ...clean crap and 10% water change
u can usually have 1 shrimp per gallon......and they are bottom feeders...they will learn when you begin to feed them... I even have shrimp now thta even swim upside down to the top and eat at the top of it...
could throw some plants in it ...also ...you might want to cut back on the amount of water you are changing out mabye 10% to 15%....everytime u do a change the tank has to rebuild that water to the already previous water conditions...I.E. losing bacteria...also changing out the filter media will...
