I got a rock with a few different types of polyps last week. When I first set it in the tank they opened up a lot. Now, only 1 or 2 of the yellows are opening up and they have lost their color. However all the others seem to be flourshing. Any ideas on what I can do or do they go through stages...

Hello all, When I first started my 29g tank I bought into the WPG idea. So, I set up 4x75W VHO lights in the tank with the idea that later on I would be able to get into the SPS coral. Do I have overkill on the lights? I ask because I am reading several posts that say if you dont have MH...

The center of the polyps glow a sorta neon green. only have a couple of them opening up so far, but seem to get more every day.

Thanks for the replies. Now that I look at the pic#2 the camera didnt focus on what I wanted Unless I am mistaken and the Yellow polyps have a purple mat. I will see if I can get better pics of those. Thanks again.
