sounds like your algae grazers are just doing thier job. As for the orange growth, it's really hard to tell from the photo. Could be sponge, could be coral, could be hydroids. I'm gonna toss out a guess that it may be a type of filamented type of algae. Just a guess though.- Fluff

Looking at the area you have circled, it looks like a chiton. Harmless algea grazing hitchiker. Enjoy him.- Fluff
