myy eel buries himself and he is very good at it ive searched through sand only to not find him the 10 minutes later rhere he is.. let tank settle down for a few hrs
A lace rock and small driftwood setup up with some simple live plants.. 1 small powerhead to give tank and plants some "life" . Good lighting with blue led lighting for night with a timer. Sand not gravel.. I think pool filter sand works great muy fish sift it through gills and seem to like it...
I dont have any problem with smell.. I di have very good filtration and use carbon at time.. It helps with the "pond" smell i get sometimes... But nothing other than that.. These both are hand fed since they were very small
I feed shrimp and bloodworms with a syringe so i can feed each fish just to mske sure they all eat well as i have a marble goby and eel that are shy and dont fet much of the food normaly. It works well and is fun!
I would say frogs.. I have 2 . They hace poor eyesite so a lot of the time if u fish small enough seims in front of them they will strike as if its food
