    Ryukin Goldfish Swim Bladder Issues

Yep, I agree with the above. I only considered this after nothing was working even when I wasn't feeding for days. I do get the logic behind the abuse of antibiotics and I try not to use them unless I am more confident. But how are you so confident that this is not a bacterial infection? I get...

    Ryukin Goldfish Swim Bladder Issues

Hi all, I have a broadtail Ryukin that has been having swim bladder issues for the past 2 months now. It isn't a standard SBD issue though. Below is some background: - He didn't have issues when he was a juvenile ('22 summer), no bad habits gulping at surface either and never had any buoyancy...

    Finally starting my pond!

    12 x 12.5 x 4 = 600 cubic feet If 1 cubic feet is about 7.5 U.S. gallons then 600 x 7.5 = 4500 gallons

Betta Sorority or Tiger Barb Tank?

So if I want to keep a betta sorority have a lot of hiding space and a good amount of bettas. Additionally, aren't the first 15-30 min the worst?

Betta Sorority or Tiger Barb Tank?

How long did it last, and were there a lot of disputes within? I also agree on various colors vs the nice school part, but I just wanted to know do things settle down later or is it still unpredictable. Thank you for the response, btw :D Hyper27

Betta Sorority or Tiger Barb Tank?

I have come to a decision that I will keep smaller fish in my 29 gallon tank. However, I was wondering if I should keep a Colorful Betta Sorority or an Active Tiger Barb (consisting of Albino, Regular and Green Tiger barbs) tank. If I go with the bettas, I will possibly be saving them from...

29 gallon temporary tank for Angelfish?

Correct me if I am wrong, but that is 2 angelfish right?

29 gallon temporary tank for Angelfish?

I completely understand that a 29 gallon is not the best tank for angelfish. The reason why I am even using it is because I previously had fish and this tank has been sitting in the garage for a good 2-3 years now and because my parents don't want to buy a 75 gallon and have all the fish die (...

29 gallon temporary tank for Angelfish?

Great! What gender is generally less aggressive? If I have the ability to get 2 males/ 2 females, which will be better? Additionally, if I do get a male and female that form a breeding pair, will they be very aggressive to all the other fish?

29 gallon temporary tank for Angelfish?

Ok, now if I do this, the angelfish will vary in size. If this happens, will there be any issues? Additionally, would two be ok, because I have heard that keeping one solitary for that long will make it more aggressive towards others in a tank full if angels.

29 gallon temporary tank for Angelfish?

I've heard that angels do better schooling in groups of 3 or more as juveniles... Is that true? Also are you saying 2 due to aggression levels?

29 gallon temporary tank for Angelfish?

Okay so the soonest I can get a 75 gallon will be 6 months from when the angelfish will be introduced. How many do you think I could put in the temporary 29 gallon?

29 gallon temporary tank for Angelfish?

Okay now if I did a community with 2 angels in a 29 gallon, could I later do 6 angels with a community in a 75 gallon, or would I be better of just doing only angels if I wanted that many?

29 gallon temporary tank for Angelfish?

What would you find easier to care for? I have had goldfish in the past, and swim bladder was a problem I noticed time to time. Also how long would 4 angels in a 29 last? 1 year can be shortened as well if necessary... I already have the 29 gallon btw

29 gallon temporary tank for Angelfish?

I'm kind of torn between getting Fancy Goldfish or Angelfish for a temporary 29 gallon tank. What I mean by "temporary" is that I will upgrade to a 75 gallon after a year. I know for goldfish that I could only keep 2 in a 29 gallon, then keep around six in a 75 gallon and have 10x the...
