    Why do you want to lower the ph? Bettas are hardy and adaptable fish and consistency is usually the most important thing about water parameters.

    And yes disposing of the eggs should cut the aggression short. And removing the anubias will probably not stop anything.

    What temperature are you keeping them at? Reducing the temperature slowly to the low seventies should reduce their aggression and breeding.

    Most livebearers would be happy with a higher ph like that or African cichlids but those would eat your current inhabitants.

    So I've got some Cory catfish that were sold as San Juan corydoras but most the pictures of San Juan corydoras I've seen online when I looked them up don't really look like mine so I'm just wondering if anyone can help ID these fishy for me.

    Normally I would say that rain water is a bit too soft and acidic for mollies to truly be comfortable in it unless your buffering it somehow.
