Many thanks dafraguy, at the moment I have the micro bubbles coming out into the tank from the outlet pipe do you think this will be harmful to my fish and coral. I have found mixed reviews about these skimmers what do you think of them.

Hi dafraguy many thanks for your reply it's helped alot. If you wouldn't mind posting a pic on here it would be much appreciated. I have just found out that I may need a bubble-production diffuser on the end of the output pipe but I don't know how important this is or where I can purchase one

Sorry but I'm new to this what do you mean by cycled my tank.The water was R o water from swallows shop. It shows no ammonia as yet and the nitrate is below 5. Can show pics later as my partner knows how to put them on here.

Hi David, the water readings are Ph 8.1 nitrate 0.5 ammonia Kh 150 0. No skimmer as yet. 2 fish 1blue damsel 1 mandarin dragonet 1 hermit crab 2 snails and coral. 2x 39 t5and fluval 305 live rock in the filter and some live rock in the Tank. The tank is not near any sun light. Thanks Jed...
