I feed him the amount he stays up the top for, usually he eats the first worm (keep in mind they're quite long, some 3cm long) and then MAYBE eats the second. Alot of the time he will go down away from the second and i toy with it up the top to get his attention back, or sometimes wont eat it at...

At the moment I'm using stress coat as it is a conditioner also, but I'll look into changing to that as I have heard it mentioned quite a bit as the go to conditioner. Thankyou very much :) how long do you think it should take roughly? And I should continue with my daily changes?

Hiya guys! Terribly new to this! Got my betta as a present and he doesnt look like the generic kind you get, so i did a google and still can't work it out without a trained eye. Can someone tell me what he is exactly? :) Is he common or not? It doesnt really matter but it's just interesting to know

for reference, this is my ammonia reading for after doing my 50% change and it looks exactly like it did before. To ease my mind, would you read this as 0? or atleast below 0.25?

Actually, just today i got some java moss and a little apple snail :) Tied it to a rock and plopped it in the corner. Baby steps! I've just been a bit wary because people have said that live plants are awesome, just as long as you know what you're doing because they can also cause problems...

I've got fake but only because ive yet learnt enough to actually know how to handle live plants. i plan on doing alot of reading and then set one up, cyle it and then move my betta over :)

Both filtered and heated, i've got it at 25 degrees celcius at the moment! He seems fine, has been swimming around and he's not all clamped up. There's an almond leaf in there for him aswell. It's a 15litre/4 gallon tank, i know it's a little small so i do plan on purchasing a larger tank but...
