Its my first experience with MH ... I didn't know I could put in smaller bulbs ?? So in essence the fixture can handle up to 250 watt bulbs and anything smaller is fine also ?? Do you think the total 760 is to much ?? and do you think going with 175 or so in 14k or 20k would be better for my 75...

I have a 75 gallon with 2x250 halide at 10k ... it looks really whitish (bleached) or yellowish, even with the 4x65 actinic running next to the halides.... do you think I should change the 2x250 halide to 20k ?? whats the best combination of light for lps and anemone's .. etc...

Instant Ocean and the Salifert test kit.

Something portable would be fine .... I'm not looking for anything to keep inside the tank all the time. Does the PH/TDS unit test both PH and salinity ?? I am not familia with what the TDS reading would tell me. Also I am hearing alot about ORP lately ... is it important to test ORP weekly ??

I tested every day since this week and it remains 17 dKH ... I did a 20% water change last sunday 6 days ago.

I am looking into buying some decent electronic meter. for PH, Salinity, Calcium is there one that measures Alkalinity ??? Any others I should watch closely ?? Any advice would be greatly apprecited !!!

my dKH is around 17 ... what is the best way to lower it without stressing the tank ... the ph is 8.3.
