Yea that sure would help a ton. Takes a lot of stress off the whole idea

    Moving

I used a dark colored bucket for fish to reduce stress. Also if you do it this way you can pack up the rock, fish, sand and let it sit while you move the tank and begin to fill it so you can put the rock right in when you get there Don't know how far you are moving but I hope this helps. My...

    Moving

I feel like a tank that size would be hard to move with 100+ lbs of rock and sand plus the water. You may have better luck with buckets or anything similar that has a lid. Maybe trashcans? Just load them up with your live rock and cover with water. Try to maintain the heat in the containers...

    mixing clowns

I had a gold band maroon and reg ocelleris clown in a tank together for about 2-3 months with no issues. They swam together all the time. But it was only temporary as I was holding the ocelleris for a friend.

    Live Rocks and Display Tanks

Doesn't seem likely that you could fit that much in a sump but theoretically I think it makes sense. Id also like to know the answer to that because I like a more open look. 40 Vs 40 Br

i guess i should have worded that differently. they are both the same height but the 40 br is wider by 5 inches front to back. didn't know if having more room front to back would make for a more interesting layout for a reef. the only fish i plan on having are my 2 clowns that i would be...

    40 Vs 40 Br

I know this may be a matter of opinion, but what do you think would be the best for starting a reef tank. Within the year I will be moving and wish to upgrade to a 40 gallon tank but am undecided on which to buy. There is the regular 40 gallon (48x13x16) and 40 breeder (36x18x16). Just...
