Okay, I have a CSL PC hood and I want to disassemble and mount inside my aquarium hood (like a Retro). I bought two waterproof ends with wiring (blue, black, brown, and yellow w/green stripe) but my ballasts have a group of red and red with one yellow. I can see that the all red go to one half...

BTW, I looked at hellolights, and they did not have the rubber boots for the 4 square pin configuration that I need, however Premium Aquatics does sell them with the power cord already attached...

I have a CSL PC fixture over my 65 gal aquarium but I can't place my hood over top because the fixture is a bit to long. I was wondering if anyone has had any success or has any suggestions on disassembling a PC fixture and making it more of a retro fit inside a canopy?

Steve is right, they are almost ridged and move slowly (not flowy like an anenome) like a brittle star would move. They also apear to have light bands around the arms (if you look close to the rock) that make me believe it is a banded serpent star of some sort. Also, they don't always come out...

Ok, so if it's not a brittle star, then what is it (one suggestion is a spaghetti worm), and is it harmful? So far I haven't noticed anything bad.

Finally, I borrowed a digital camera and took a picture of what I think is a brittle star inside my liverock. It only comes out at night, so I had to turn on the lights temporarily to get the pic. Sorry for the poor quality, let me know what you think.

Well, I've pretty much determined that it is a banded serpent star in the hole. Now I'm concerned that it did grow to large to leave and is stuck..... Should I break the live rock to release it, or will it live just fine in the hole?
