i just ordered a tiger lotus and received a bulb. do i just stick it in the gravel? it's very small about the size of my thumb nail around.

Does a sponge prefilter on an intake tube do the same thing as a regular sponge filter with airstone?

it is just 12 cardinal tetra and 2 oto cats right now. i'm getting discus next weekend. it's a 60 gallon. the scales are not sticking out.. i think it's just fat..

i have 10 cardinal tetras and 3 of them are very round and big in the breast area.. are they sick? or do they look like this when they are pregnant? there fins are all fine and there appetite is good and they are all schooling normally..

could my black ghost knife have a tapeworm or something? should i treat with PraziPro?

i have a 55 gallon aquarium and i purchased a "48 inch double linear strip T5 fluorescent lamp, with: a 28 watt colourmax full-spectrum T5 and a 28 watt 6700K plant lamp T5" is this sufficient to grow my plants?:n00b:

plus i just can't wait to take all the fake plants out and admire my more natural/healthy looking aquarium! i'm so excited to watch everything grow in together! any more advice for the begginer, here?
