Setting up 2 10gallon plant tank

The first one is the one got rid of. I actually have one that looks like the second one, but mine takes in a fluorescent strip lamp. I guess they make two versions..I should look into this because I'm using a desk lamp right now for my 10g. My Petsmart only had the fluorescent as well.. I'll get...

Setting up 2 10gallon plant tank

I used to have this hood that took in 2 screw bulbs, but I got rid of it because the bulbs always got wet. I thought it was unsafe. You guys keep it wet without problems?

    DIY CO2: resupplying sugar

Hey dudes and gals, I have a DIY CO2 setup, and I need to add more sugar. Do you guys dump the old content in the bottle (2L reactor) and add new yeast and sugar or just add sugar to the mixture already in the bottle? Does the yeast in the bottle go bad? I'm thinking I should just add more...

Urgent: "Ich Attack" safe for shrimp and plants?

Ich Attack is 100% Herbal based on Naphthoquinones. That's what the website says at least. I actually have QuICK cure with me, but it says it's not safe with shrimp. However, I read from some ppl that it doesn't harm the shrimp.. I dont know who's right.

Urgent: "Ich Attack" safe for shrimp and plants?

This morning, I found a bunch of white dots on my fish. I've reading about how to treat it for a while now, and I read that Ich Attack by Kordon is safe for fish and plants. Does anyone else have experience with this and know whether it's safe for plants and fish?

    Sexing gardneri killifish

I just bought 2 gardneri killifish thinking that I got a pair of a male and a female. I'm looking at photos of them on the Internet, and I'm not sure if I have a female here. The LFS had 4 of these fish, and I picked the most colorful and the least colorful ones. Here are the pictures. What...

Moving to a new home: how to move fish tank?

Do these tubs have a lid? Also, if I were to put the fish in a container with a lid, can I seal them in for about 1.5 hrs to avoid water splashes in my car?

Moving to a new home: how to move fish tank?

So, next month, I will be moving to a house that is 90 miles away from my current apartment. I have a 20g long fish tank with 30 lbs of fluorite in it. My main concern is moving the tank itself.. can I leave the gravel in there and move the tank? Has anyone left the gravel inside the...

Scarlet "Badis" Dario dario Fish - Question

I've read that most LFS's don't carry these. It's either an LFS or the Internet. The latter cost way too much, though, since you need express shipping. The other option is this person from Aquria Central who sells dario darios for only a few bucks each, so you might wanna try her. She goes...

two 10 gal filters on a 30 gal tank

Wow, that is some serious overkill for that 20g long. AC30 would be enough for a 20g, but an AC50 on top of that??

two 10 gal filters on a 30 gal tank

It would work if you don't have a heavy bioload.

Safe to rinse Flourite in sink?

I rinsed the second bag at the sink. I was careful not to let larger pieces fall through the drain. I did it for about hour or a little more, and it was still a little cloudy, but I figured it was about done from what I've read. I now have 2 bags in a 20g long, and the water is pretty cloudy...

Safe to rinse Flourite in sink?

No python. Too expensive. I have a syphon with a really long tube that leads to outside of my apt. I used that for my first bag.. it was a really tedious process, and after about an hour of doing it, I think I'll need to do it for another hour!
