Im thinking about drilling ooverflow holes in my glass aquarium...the only catch is that my tank is established (with an eshopps overflow unit-big box) and i dont care to remove everything from the tank...Im curious - have any of you successfully done somthing like this (or at least heard of it...

@neilanh I aquired the tank established about a yr ago...This coral was allready established in the tank...I know the previous owner had the tank established for 2 or 3 years before I got it...I would guess that this coral was in the tank for much of this time...up untill about a two month or so...

I have a "Tropic Marin Calcium test kit"...I believe it was about $15 on Amazon...I find it extremely hard to read...it has about 6 steps (fill a vial w/water, put "part A" in, put lid on and shake, put in "Part b", shake, put in "part C", do some math and get answer...I suppose once you know...

hi, just read your first post...I would reccomend against tap water...I use an RO machine (no DI - it was a little cheaper, lasts a little longer between filter changes, and seems a good compromise)...
