Well, since no one in the world seems to have ever had cherry barbs, I went with a spiny-looking betta. Waiting for his water to warm up to the tank water so I can pile him in. At least the goldies I have in there now will be happy to be back in their big tank. :/

To be safe, I'd say bring the temp back up in small increments rather than just all at once. But I don't know what your fish are either. If they are cold-sensitive, you may want to accelerate the change.
