...was defending his turf from the "interlopers".
I have two questions-
Is it possible to return him to his tank and have him coexist with the new additions? And if so,
How long should I keep him in a separate bowl before returning him?
Hi I have a question about betta fish and territoriality. Two weeks ago, I had to remove me betta fish from his community tank after adding some Amano shrimps- he was acting aggressively towards them and trying to attack them. He has been in an isolated bowl since them. Since then, I have done...
Looks like they're mating. I had some mystery snails that I had to separate to different tanks because the male wouldn't leave the female along. She would actually twist her shell around as if she was trying to shake him off. If you have another tank, I would suggest separating them to give them...
Hi people! I have a 29-gal tank 4 dojo loaches in it, along with some other fish. I got all four loaches when they were roughly the same size, through spaced out over a couple months. My oldest, and favorite loach, has grown very little over the last year, and is looking very thin throughout his...
Nerites are pretty decent algae cleaners, from my own experience go for the "spikey" ones, they are faster. I also have the striped ones but they are very slow--somebody online compared them to an elderly janitor who spends an hour polishing the same square of floor.
Also if you can find a true...
Wow, that is an amazing before and after picture!! Yesterday, I just put a few willow stems into my tank that was slightly green after a 1/4 water change, it looks better but still is not as clear as I want it to be
The mollies shouldn't bother midsize to adult shrimp, but if you want to have baby shrimp I would move the fish to another tank. Tiny baby shrimp are the perfect sized snack for a fish that size
I'm going to be setting up an all-glass 8-gal Fluval Nano Shrimp tank this weekend. The tank is going to be on top of a wooden filing cabinet. When I press on it hard, the top of the cabinet has a little bit of give in the middle, so I will need to lay a board on top to add a little more...
Ammonia is still high today (about .15) on the color chart, I'll do another 1/2 gall water change
My "large" water changes were about a gallon on the 10-gall tank, I was using Prime and also the Fluval shrimp safe.
I really need to upgrade my heater--I'm going to go to a fish swap meet next...
I had another one die last week, for this one I had a clear problem with my ammonia so I'm not not going to count it as a mysterious dead like the others. Did a water change.
Huh, I really don't know what that could be. Are there any other amanos in the tank that you can use for comparison? They should have a slight green/grey/blue transparent color
