Angels can be breed in community tanks, the only problem with this is that the fry get eaten by the other fish, once the spawn or pair you could move them to a tank on thier own, angels are one of the easist fish to breed they do all the work

What type of filteration are you using?? and did you clean the filter out when you were changing the tank?

you can do a water change, but melafix is weak and really doesnt do much to the diseases it says it helps, the fin rot med might run along side the melafix you would need to talk to the LFS, i have never run either along side each other

i have also been thinking about the water movement in the tank, when a fish dies and you dont know it, i have found it is covered in this white algae, which is why i think this betta has this from lack of water flow and movement
