So I have this major Snail invasion that I am Loosing..these things are like roaches... If I get a YoYo Loach or two..will this fix the problem.. These snails are driving me crazy... thanks

Major Snail Invasion Ok well I dont' know what to do..but the Snails are out of control.. I have tried everything short of starting a new tank..I don't want to use chemicals to get rid of them because i have heard this doesnt' work anyhow. I thought i could just pluck them out..and actually...

I have the same Invasion..My snail look like the ones you have..Can't get rid of them..they came from some horn wort plant i got when my frey hatched..now I can't control them..Im gona try the leafy idea..

You probably just fed them to much. cut back on the food. also do more frequent water changes. if you need more help.. what are you water parameters, filter, etc.

I can tell you this much..If it comes of in a blanket then its Cynobacteria. It really isn't algae. you need to treat it with an antibiotic. I have been threw this and did the black out etc..it still comes back and there is a nasty smell to it. anyhow here is what i used its called melafix It...

Are you kidding me only 6? I had some fish lay eggs a few weeks ago and there still in with the adult tank and I have like Hundreds..I still can't tell for what they are because there so small..but getting alot bigger..from what I can tell they are my cories.. get some pictures if you can congrats

Well , It look like they may be my cory's so far they are surviving..

OK well I woke up yesterday and My Rasbora were swimming around and then I notice eggs all over the glass and plants. Did these have eggs..I thought it was pretty hard to get these to breed..I really didn't want this to happen but its kinda cool..so what should I do now..I don't have another...

Yea I was planning on an FO OR FOWLR..I new it was going to be more expensive.. I like to reef idea..but a little more than I wanted to spend right now..

I am Glad you mentioned that about a reef ready tank..I don't want to have to modify to much to get it the way I want it.

Ok, Well I am a true addict here..I started off with my 10 gallon Freshwater tank. I really wanted to do a salt but decided to start with a fresh..and its been fun and quite a learning curve. anyhow I have decided to move up to bigger things here. I am thinking of Buying this awsome 150 gallon...

I totally Agree...My fish go nuts for these..I haven't tried the Black worms..

All I can tell you is what they are..they are for sure Mosquito larva and they came from those" Freeze Dried Blood worms" and no nothing has been added to the tank and there aren't any Mosquitos even out yet..Also I even turned off the filter to see if that was making them look like they were...

I was wondering if anyone has seen this. I feed my Rasboras on a occasion Freeze dried Blood worms( which are Mosquito larva) they love them..anyhow I noticed the other day that some came back to life..you could see the wigglers swimming in the tank..but not for long..the fish went nuts and ate...
