    Proper Snail Handling

"What's the proper way to handle a snail when moving it from one tank to another?" Seems pretty detailed to me. Had I asked "what do I grab onto when removing a snail?" Then your answer would've made more sense. Reading and not comprehending leads to vague answers with no solutions.

    Proper Snail Handling

yeah I get that, but I handle my stock with care so I don't want to just "grab and pluck" unless that's the proper way.

For Sale: Pictus Catfish (Minnesota aquarists please apply!)

I just inherited a Pictus Catfish and the 20 gallon tank he came in. If you know these catfish, you will know that they need a 55 or larger tank (preferably pond). He's very cramped and I can't invest in a larger tank at this time. Offers are welcome. Buyer pays shipping/handling.

Free: Porthole Catfish in need of new home

I just recently inherited a porthole catfish and a 20 gallon tank. The previous owner allowed the catfish to grow to over 4 inches without moving it to a larger tank. I cannot afford a larger tank at this time, and the catfish is obviously cramped and swimming laps around the tank...

Python 25 foot No Spill System

no, only when the python is attached. The python seems to create a lot of back pressure, which is what's causing my faucet to leak at the base arm.

Python 25 foot No Spill System

Yes. It leaks from there and won't create a siphon.

Python 25 foot No Spill System

you're not understanding. The leak is coming from the seal around the base of the faucet where it connects to the sink. It's also not producing enough water pressure to create a siphon. Neither the siphon hose or the hose fitting is leaking. Do I need some kind of industrial wash tub with...

Python 25 foot No Spill System

I just ordered one of these from Amazon and it seems like a solid piece of equipment. The only issue I have is that I don't seem to have enough water pressure or seals that are tight enough to do the job. While attempting to use this, I caused my faucet seals to leak rather than produce enough...

    Missing Guppy??

If it's my water then why don't the Tetra's have fin rot? Like I said before, The tank has been established for over a year with the Tetras. It is a 10 gallon tank. I keep the original two white skirt tetras, and there were 3 feeder guppies, 2 female and 1 male that I added last week. All...

    Missing Guppy??

Well this morning I got up to find both guppies dead from fin rot. Water params are perfect and temp is stable at 80 degrees. The tetras have been living in that tank problem free all year. I don't see why my petsmart guppies keep dying! I observe them for at least a couple days before...

    Missing Guppy??

The problem is our LFS shut down thanks to that blue plague called walmart. Seems like the little guys are being shut down left and right.

    Missing Guppy??

The driftwood has holes in it for fish to get into, but big enough that they can also get back out. I saw guppies swimming through the log at petco before I bought it a few months back. I'm doing a fishless cycle on the other tanks. I did a couple water changes but then stopped because I...

    Missing Guppy??

I think I'm still suffering from new tank syndrome. I've only been back in the aquarium world for about a year. Based on what I've been reading, small fish like guppies and tetra are supposed to be bought in bulk because they do tend to go missing. I guess the big culprit is they die and get...

    Missing Guppy??

So I just made a run to Petsmart yesterday to get two female and one male guppy. Last night when I shut the lights off all fish were accounted for and swimming aggressively. This morning one of the females went missing. Literally It's been 6 hours since last accounting for them all. Now...
