    still, more questions about garlic...

if i understand this correctly, the extract has to be assimilated by the fish for it to work. and, like you said, it acts more in camouflaging the fish rather than killing the attached parasite, right? so, regardless of which protozoan you are dealing with, it should be more of a preventative...

    still, more questions about garlic...

i'll be candid about this all-too-common subject so, here goes...does it really work against ich? will it help in eliminating velvet and brooklynella? lastly, does it really improve appetite? i ask these because, of the few times i tried feeding garlic-soaked food to my fish, they always ended...

    tangs clowns and damsels

it goes without saying that any new additions should be quarantined for at least 2 weeks- enough time for the tang and damsel to get settled in the main while the clowns are in the qt. ciao!

    coral beauty in distress

yup, he was a great loss! here in manila, it is rare to find a healthy coral beauty, much less a feeding one. i guess i was just so paranoid about the possibility of another disease outbreak after suffering two wipe-outs from velvet and ick. i'd almost take every conceivable measure to...

    brooklynella?

yes, it doesn't seem to be brooklynella but the symptoms seemed to point otherwise. well, he seems to be better now. the freshwater dip must have saved him for the meantime. nonetheless, i'll try to improve the tank conditions and re-set up the quarantine tank in case of a recurence...

    brooklynella?

hello guys! i am new here so i hope you would help me... and quick if that's not too much to ask? this morning, i noticed that my flagfin angel developed some white patches all over his body. though i didn't notice any adverse reactions from this, i opted to do a 10 minute freshwater dip just...

    What should I do ?

before anything else, i'd have to say that i am green with envy! you can have all the fishes and inverts you want for free... especially that blue tang! i hope you can send some to me! moving on... imo, the best way to effect a treatment is by proper diagnosis of the...
