    African Clawed Frog...swollen upper legs

That's what we originally had thought. But after doing a lot of reading and looking at pictures I think its some kind of bloat. We have started to treat him with the aquarium salt and the swelling appears to be going down. Other than the fact that his legs are swollen he has zero other symptoms...

I got home from work today and tested the water. pH: Still like 7.2-7.4 Ammonia: less than .25 but still not zero Nitrite: Like .25 Nitrates were still around 10ish I just did a 60-75% water change and vacuumed their gravel really good. But one thing I have noticed in their new found clear...

    African Clawed Frog...swollen upper legs

So today I noticed that one of our remaining frogs has what almost look like blisters on his upper hind legs. I'm not sure if this is something bad, or him shedding his skin. We have had some fish issues recently with this tank...

Help! Cloudy water, death, sadness :(

As of this morning it was still nice and clear. I'll check levels when I get home and do another big water change. Based on the drop after the last large water change I believe that should get me to a level that I can maintain with smaller changes daily until it cycles. I have learned one...

Help! Cloudy water, death, sadness :(

So that water change yielded: pH 6.8 Ammonia: .5ppm Nitrite: .5ppm Nitrate: still way high like maybe 80-100ppm As I type its draining down for another change. I'm going to go down like 75% or so then probably check it before bed and go back at it again tomorrow after work. At least its going...

Help! Cloudy water, death, sadness :(

I also thought you had to replace those HOB filters...do you have any idea how many filters I've gone through over the past 3 years? 3 filters with 4 pads each... Lots :( And not only was it wasting money but it was hurting the fish. What do you guys think about chemical media in the filter...
