I can tell you from experience that the snake oil cures for ich are just that - snake oil. The only thing that will get rid of ich for sure is a fishless tank for 6-8 weeks.
it was cool... all of his "tentacles" were extended like crazy, they would wave in toward his anus and out as he expelled the eggs.
We could sub in Lou Rawls for the music, turn on the disco ball, etc..
(cue Barry White music..)
My tuxedo urchin is one of my favorite critters.. it has thrived in my tank and g grown a lot. last night during a water change with water that was a little colder than it should have been my urchin raced up the overflow housing to the waterline and spewed out...
At two weeks in you aren't even cycled yet... I hope you don't have fish in there. Wait until your cycle is done before you add anything.. at least 6 weeks unless you have tons of lR.
You generally get what you pay for in skimmers.. look at AquaC brand, either the remora/remora pro or the smaller end of the EV line. I use a AquaC EV-120 and love it.
A friend of mine tore down his reef tank.. baby on the way. I loaded up my system and 20L sump with rock and I still have a large box FULL of large, interesting pieces of rock.. I'm going to guess at 20-30 pounds of rock, maybe more. There are some really big pieces here.. I have them in water...

I'd be interested to know what you have been reading.
Take a look at what successful reefkeepers have been doing.. You usually see PC, T5 and MH.. most PC and T5 daylight bulbs are 10000K, MH around 12000K. 6700K is waht I use on my refugium for growing macroalgae - a very "yellow" light. I'm...
Just don't rush things... let your tank cycle for 6-8 weeks. You will be getting close when you get your first algae bloom - greenish-brown stuff that begins to grow on your sand. Rushing anything in this hobby just leads to frustration.
Dump the seaclone for a better skimmer.. I have a AquaC ev120 that really got my nitrates under control.. the HOB refugium w/caulerpa also helped in that regard.
You have enough LR that you probably don't need any mechanical filtration save for the skimmer and a good clean-up crew. A sump with...
