This can't be an electric yellow...

Today I bought a few electric yellows and acei. When looking closely, I saw this little guy and I'm perplexed on what kind he is. I've had a few electric yellows and this guy does not look like one. Any ideas on what type of cichlid this is? His fins have black edges like a yellow lab but he...

    Victor regulator?

I'm a first time regulator buyer and I saw a Victor VTS 252C regulator for a good price. According to Victor's website, this is a hydrogen regulator. I could just get different fittings to make it compatible with a 10-20lb CO2 tank right? Also the handle appears to be missing from the...

What else should I put in this 55g tank?

I had 4 red zebras at first. One became an absolute devil and eventually killed the other red zebra and a few other fish. But adding more acei, rusties and yellows sounds good. Also I have boesmani just because they look cool imo ?

What else should I put in this 55g tank?

I got a 55g up and running. Heated and filtered with a aquaclear 70 + eheim 2217. So far I have 2 Yellow labs 2 Red Zebras 3 Acei 1 Rusty 3 Boesmani Rainbows All the fish are 3 inches and under right now. Aggression is pretty minimal right now since I removed some male zebras and a kenyi. What...

    Helping the little guys

Thanks guys, so I guess the breeder idea is a no go. I use NLS .5mm pellets. It kind of works if I throw some food at the top to distract the big fish and then grab some pellets and dunk it near the labs.

    Helping the little guys

Hello everyone, I just started a 55g cichlid tank and I have 15 juvenile cichlids in the tank right now. About 4 yellow lab cichlids are undersized (about half the size of my kenyi's) and can barely compete for any food. I was wondering if I should put the undersized cichlids in a breeder net...

    Feedback on new planted tank

No ferts in the water column, no liquid CO2, but I have put root tabs near the swords and the crypts. Do you think rotala will survive? I'm using a Current Satellite LED Plus 6500k light, the website says it will get around 20-30 PAR in my tank

    Feedback on new planted tank

Hi everyone, This is my first planted tank. I've had this tank for a while but only with plastic plants until I decided to make it fully planted. It's a 55g, low light, no CO2 tank. From left to to right, the tank has: red wendtii, anubias nana, amazon sword, another sword, anubias and a...

First time with plants. Is this a good light?

I'm going to add plants to my 55g standard rectangular tank (48" long) for the first time and I'm not sure what lighting I should get. I'm planning on planting simple low light plants because I do not want to add CO2 to the water. Would this light be good? Dual-Lamp T5-HO | Aquatic Life And...
