The concrete will reek havoc on your pH while it leaches out alkaline. You will need to soak it and rinse it many times before it becomes close to neutral. Ad it will always slowly affect pH. Unless you seal the hell out of it. Check with some some the other day background threads for more info...

If cleaned well I won't be an issue. The bottom will be able to hold most anything - it holds all the weight and pressure of the water. The only thing is the pumps and converting them bc of the salt
