Got our eye on some large tanks for next year & already discussing how to move the furniture to fit around a bigger tank! I'm not sure I'm keen on Shrimps. Might get some Snails, do the breed like mad like the pest snails we get with plants?

These are great suggestions thanks. I will get some rooting powder & put it in the window sill, see if it takes of as a plant! Any ideas on plants we could replace it with in the tank? I like the coloration & the height, is there anything similar?

The water has gone a slight brown colour. I gather this is from the wood? Will it be ok like this? & will the water clear up? (although I quite like it how it is, looks natural).
