Id plant please

We got this plant from our LPS but no idea what it is?!
Can anyone Id it for me so I can look it up.

I thought that might be the case when it didn't have the roots I got used to with the other plants & I couldn't I'd it.
Good job it didn't cost much.
Why the .... do they sell it for aquariums if it's not suitable. How annoying.
How long would it likely last before it dies & I have to remove it? It does look good.

I made the same mistake. The plants lasted a little over a month before they started dissolving. If you haven't thrown them out, put them in a pot on your window sill and they will do well.

It will also do pretty good if you make a ledge inside the tank and allow it to poke out of the water.

I will get some rooting powder & put it in the window sill, see if it takes of as a plant!
Any ideas on plants we could replace it with in the tank? I like the coloration & the height, is there anything similar?

java fern or anubias would work, you wouldn't have the same colors but they are usually about the same size.

Will maybe get a Java Fern. It seems no planted tank should be without 1!
We have an Anubis growing on a rock which is my centre piece.

That color, no, but there are plenty of cool fully aquatic plants that are hardy. I've just gotten into Crypts they may melt at first, but should come back.
