I have been dosing with excel. trace, iron and the comprehensive, should i continue? Does this have anything to do with the diatoms. The tank is a ten gallon and i am currently cycling.

Is it normal to get algae when a tank is first set up. I am getting a brown fuzzy algae in a new tank 2 weeks old.

I have a 10 gallon planted tank that i just started. The pet store recommends that i dose with seachem flourish, Excel and trace elements. Do I really need all of this? I have planted microsword, anubias, watersprite, and some crypts. I have 2 27 watt sprial bulbs.

How many guppies do you think I can put without the schooling fish

Maybe 4 or 5 guppies and not sure for schooling fish

Is it possible to keep only male guppies in a 10 gallon planted tank or will they nip at each other. Also would to be possible to keep a small schooling type fish with the guppies.

I am in the process of setting up my first planted ten gallon tank. I am not sure what to use as a substrate. Should i use Schultz aquatic soil covered with gravel or should i just purchase a bag of eco complete or flourite. I don't think the cost difference in the end will be much different...

I have a 36" 96watt 50/50 light. Would this be enough over a 30 gallon for a planted tank. Would this be low light? Is there a better bulb that I could get?

I have a 4 bulb t5 fixture over a 30 gallon tank. The bulbs are split between 2 ballasts. I have sps corals. What type bulbs should i use. Are all brands the same or is one better than the other? Thanks Richard

Can i dose both parts at the same time? i thought of an iv drip but i can not control the alk and ca at different times

I want to automate adding my twp part. I add about 50 ml of each every day to my 30 gallon tank and this is increasing. Can anyone recommend a good inexpensive dosing pump or a better way to dose. thanks

mg levels were 1375. I think the coral is just consuming more and more calcium. i am going to try to raise to 420 and increase the two part!!!

I am thinking of purchasing an aqua medic reactor model 400 for my 30 gallon tank. Is anybody using this reactor or any aqua medic reactor. Comments. Thanks Richard
