200 gallon reef, you can visit segrest farms. I toured in a while ago since it is so close to my house. Maybe 2 miles down the road. It's in Gibsonton. You just can't buy anything there without the license. My lfs will order me anything I want from there though without a ton of markup.
I tend to ignore most fish store's advice when it comes to stocking amounts. Someone once explained it to me like this, you can live in a room the size of an avg. bathroom as long as you have everything you needed in there but would you be happy and healthy in a room that size your whole life...
Instead of the lfs for battery operated pumps try a local tackle shop. They usually have them for minnow buckets or other live bait. Do NOT go for the cheap battery operated pump by tsunami. I run a tackle business and refuse to distribute them anymore.

If it's not bacterial bloom which should clear up by itself, have you tried purigen? I love the way my fish look like they are flying through air instead of swimming in the water.
I have a 3 gallon bucket and a 30 gallon tank. It took me a while to find the right bucket to do water changes. My soon to be setup 20 gallon has a 2 gallon bucket waiting.
