If vinegar didnt work, I'd try Aptasia-X which is harmless to everything else in the tank and is only about £3.00-£4.00. Another quick treatment which can be affective is small shots of lemom juice in a syringe. Make sure the shot is applied quickly in one fast burst so the Aptasia doesnt close...
Possibly a type of Anemone or more specifically a small Aptasia as they tend to spread all over tank and arent too pleasing on the eye. A picture would help though mate just to confirm what it is.

I have quite a large amount of aptasia growing round my Pulsing Zenia and i was told if it continues to grow at the same rate it would choke out my coral. Does anybody now any treatment except boiling water?
