If vinegar didnt work, I'd try Aptasia-X which is harmless to everything else in the tank and is only about £3.00-£4.00. Another quick treatment which can be affective is small shots of lemom juice in a syringe. Make sure the shot is applied quickly in one fast burst so the Aptasia doesnt close...

Possibly a type of Anemone or more specifically a small Aptasia as they tend to spread all over tank and arent too pleasing on the eye. A picture would help though mate just to confirm what it is. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

I have quite a large amount of aptasia growing round my Pulsing Zenia and i was told if it continues to grow at the same rate it would choke out my coral. Does anybody now any treatment except boiling water?

How often should i do my water changes in my 5 gallon tank.

Par 38 and a standard 11 watt bulb the corals colour has brightened as well as an increase in size

had some saving bulbs in so that cost wasnt that high but the bulbs were expensive

might try see if it aids the growth on my pulsing xenia, thanks

have quite a lot of shade due to a rock ledge its almost complete darkness

I leave mine on 24/7 and ots fine

Only just noticed this on the back of my shrimp any ideas as to what has caused it and how to go about treating it please?
