    Melting plants.

The green water was an algae bloom and it probably blocked all the light/ sucked up lots of nutrients in the water column Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

What plants are good to start a cold water planted?

Do you have any type of lighting fixture? Natural sunlight is unreliable and can cause huge algae blooms Sent from my iPad using Aquarium Advice

    New 15 gallon planted

Dwarf Baby Tears and Micro Swords will require high lighting (2 1/2 - 3 watts per gallon) and you won't be finding a NEW fixture that can support those for under 80 bucks. If you do send me the link because that's a great deal. I run Aquatic Life Dual t5 HO fixture on one of my tanks and you...

    30 gallon

Aquatic Life makes great Dual T5-HO fixtures. very reliable and easy to set up. Make sure to measure the top of your tank, then select the right size. you'll also need a glass top. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    It finally happened!! Now what?

Haha no worries. A medium size Turkey Baster works for me. Don't go too big tho. it's easy to suck up the fry. so be careful!! Also- don't put the breaded trap directly under light. fry are sensitive to light in the beginning. Plus gross algae could grow inside the trap making it a PITA...

My giant hygros are melting away , stem and leaves...

Some pictures would help. Is there any green left? Melting often happens with lots of plants but they eventually rebound. if the conditions they were in before differ drastically they will melt. Have you checked your water quality lately? Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    30 gallon

The Anubias will do OK with that set up. Crypts will need some ferts or root tabs and could make it. The swords need medium to high light along with a nice substrate. if you want to have those swords live you'll have to consider upgrading to a light with a higher output. A light with At least...

    Anubias rhizome rot

Anubias will melt if you put the rhizome in the gravel. DO NOT BURY THE RHIZOME. if it's not then maybe your lighting is a little low (which would be strange because Anubias is a low light plant). Also, what are you dosing? Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Help with Dwarf Hairgrass!

what's your lighting? Are u dosing any ferts? What is your substrate? I tried DHG one time and my fish ate it all! Maybe it's that?

    Help identify

It's a crypt. Crypts can live in low light but I would recommend a nutrient ditch substrate. Or you could dose some liquid ferts.
