Ok no tap water not even in your salt mix. You will be changing about 50 % of you water so have enough saltwater on hand. Take a flexible hose and siphon off the rocks and sand bed. You can take a small pump and let it blow around on your rocks to remove the junk that way. Don't use a hose...
I'm trying to decide what kind of lights to get for my new tank. Anyone out there have T-5's? What was the deciding factor for you? Are you happy with them? Do they put off as much heat as MH? I'm going with a canopy on top the tank and am worried about heat off the MH so I'm considering T5's...
There are some interesting points here. I like the fact that I'm not the only one weighing out how much it will cost if you have to add supplements to your tank. Now I think I'm going with tropic marin I don't think there is a right or wrong answer here but it's good to see what problems others...
LOL looks like we're out of luck here. I've been told on another board that it's a mixture of products that they mark the price up on. I don't know that for sure though.
I was wondering about this product if anyone has tried it and what were the results?

We are the lucky ones. We won't be affected like the majority. At the most we will have wind damage and no electricity. I can't run to the store the road are not passible now. There are to many people evacuating. Good idea with the frozen ro/di. I read somewhere where someone made a pump work...
There is a chance that our electricity will be out for a few days I don't have a generator and suggestions on keeping my stuff alive? Thank you for any suggestion.
not get any. My store is an hour away and I'm leaving for vacation so there is no way to get some. What can I use instead just until I get back from vacation? Maybe 4 days or so of top offs.
drilled tank. I can't find a pictures of one drilled in the glass and I need it so my guy building my tank will know what I'm talking about. This is all confusing the daylights out of me.
