My filter would be enough for the load. I just don't want too much. At most, I'll get eight. Would the Gourami eat the Tetra?

I think I'll just stick with one Gourami. I'd hate to buy too many Tetra though, I don't want to overstock the tank.

I was considering either Cardinal or Neon Tetra. If I could find one, could I pair a male and a female Gourami with about 6 Tetra? Or would it be best to just have one Gourami and six to eight Tetra?

Sunlight will not be directly hitting it. Is it ok to leave the blinds closed? Will they still get enough light that way?

My room receives some of the most sunlight in the house, so I think they'll receive the natural cycle with no problems. Also, I don't expect to have live plants.

I have a 10 gallon tank, which is cycling at the moment, so I thought I would ask before it's all set up. My room gets a regular cycle of natural lighting, so do I really need to keep a light on the tank?

Ok, it's just that my paranoia has been kicking in high gear these past few days. After almost a month of waiting, I don't want to have a faulty fish tank.

I guess that is a good way of putting things :) Also, should I buy new fake plants after the ammonia screw up? They're plastic, so they were much easier to rinse than substrate.
