If it was glazed in the kiln, it should not be a problem. Pet shops even sell them. My daughter has one, and she likes the look of the shiny pink pot.
If it is a cheap pot, with a lacquer coating and not actually glazed, then it should not go in.
Tracey -
Here are my numbers, as best I can read them from the LPS tester, who wrote them down for me (a lot cheaper to have them do it free for now :D )

A piece of natural driftwood was added last week, after the...
Thank you - I will try to give as much as I have.
It is a 29 gallon tank, with 5 Mollies, 3 Platies and a small common Pleco (about 2.5")
The tank has cycled, and has been stable for two months. Ammonia levels are at zero/near zero. Nitrites are in the safe zone, Nitrates rarely above...
Three weeks ago, I started getting healthy algae growth, and bought a pleco.
Everyone was happy... Algaewell controlled by the pleco, but he seemed hungry, and I fed him a couple of green peas. He eats them.
Trouble is twofold - My PH started dropping, and the water is getting cloudy with a...
It is my understanding that fish "find their place" in a new tank when they are first introduced. It could just be determining which will be Alpha.
So long as no damage is being done, you should be able to let it go overnight, and check int the morning.
If things have not calmed down, or...
For the time being, I would either put the new fish in a separate tank or get a Plexiglas barrier in place as soon as possible - until more experienced folks give you better advice.
Good luck!
How can I tell if a Silver Lyretail Mollie is pregnant?
She seems quite fatter than she used to be, and she is eating voraciously. she also seems to be burrowing into the gravel on occasion, and is attacking my airlines. No other fish are behaving that way.
The only male Mollie is a Black...
Seriously, I get a zillion different answers to this question from researching on my own, and from asking at the pet shop.
The consistent response to how much is "How much they will eat in 3-5 minutes" and I am OK with that.
What gets me is frequency - I have been told 3 times/day, 2...
I did let the pleco go - snails can do the same job. I put the angel in my daughter's nearly empty tank.
I intend to go with larger tanks as they grow - but just starting out again :)
Hers is only 14 - but I figure from past experience it will be a year or more before he will be big enough to need an upgrade - he has been quite docile, and is sharing the tank with three little platies.
