I started with 4 (1m3f) in a 6 gal n now have 30+ babies! Some will be going in my bigger tank though (not to standard ones) to help clean and also to feed the female bettas (saves culling for no reason) Sent from my HTC One X+ using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Sexing bettas

Well I have too much current in my tank for a bubble nest to survive, however I'm pretty sure I noticed some bubbles on the surface in a 'dead spot' but they didn't last long but I wondered if that's what it was... I've noticed the anal fin is a different shape on them both and saw somewhere...

    Sexing bettas

I currently have 2 (what was supposed to both be female) bettas. However as theyve grown and lived I've noticed differences, ie. 'Shadow' has bigger ventrals, flares a lot more and is the only one to flare gills. 'Ruby' has a definate egg spot and a squarer anal fin compared although at bit torn...

Think I'm going to lay off until I have space and money for my diy project tank and I can accommodate 10 then Sent from my HTC...

Inhabitants in the tank are:1x golden ram, 2x Betta splenden (female), 6x glowlight tetra, 1x false simenesis, 1x zebra nerite snail. 2 weeks ago...

Abit about the tank first, I fishless cycled for 2 months. I've had fish in for 3 months since then. Ph is 6.6-6.8, am-.25, no2-0, and no3- 10-20. Temp-25.5℃ Oto 'sharky' was one of the last to go in a month n a half ago. He always fed but never ate any of the algae wafers or cat pellets I put...

    15/20 gallon long project.

Not yet just been trying to research what equipment to get. And doing some drawings, so far I've just drawn the sump, don't know where to start with designing the unit. Ive been told I'm not allowed to build anything until me n the wife move into a bigger house :( so I'm playing with a tv Betta...

    pump for sump

Thanks. Are there any other good brands worthy of note in uk? I know its a major piece of equipment but is it worth skimping with a bog standard pump? I would go for one of the ones you mentioned above but shipping would cost a fortune and take forever and as with most things labelled 'reef' the...
