    Hard corals mainly need real high output light... That's the biggest thing with those isvery intense lighting.. Also important is the flow of the water.. Needs to be stronger.. Mainly with sps or small polyp stony corals... Is i were you id stick with the sift corals for now and get good...

    I would also work on getting that ph up if you are getting African cichlids which if i remember right you are... In nature three rift lakes have very high ph and i like mine around 8... Mine actually is at about 7.8 but since some are tank bread and Hardy it's not that big of a deal to make it...

    I disagree about that.. My kenyi is aggressive but almost all African cichlids are.. Mine is grown and is fine in community tank... People say not to mix peacocks with zebra s either but mine are great together... As long a every fish has its own area and caves they are fine... I rarely have...

    I hear that the freckled hawkish at pretty aggressive too.. I read in tropical fish hobbyist they can't even be with other hawkish because they will keep fighting

    A lot of the zebras are cool... I have a blue zebra who it's really cool,, and a red zebra... Hoping they will mate because the females are electric orange and makes blue... Also have a Pearl zebra.. They all look very cool and aren't ever really hiding... Like i said tho kenyi is great...

    I was planning on getting some softies to start out with,,, i was going a4 bulb setup would be ok... Thinking about adding a maroon gold striped clown... Maybe a freckled hawkish, couple other fish I'm looking at.. Not sure what combo i will get,,, what kind if stick do you keep?

    I also agree,, strongly with with keeping steady temperature and parameters... Chemicals should only be used if it is absolutely necessary... Crawdaddy you seen very smart with this... I like your posts and would like it of you kept giving advice adding with me in this advice line I'm starting...

    I use a shelf rock,,, go to a ace hardware and in the fish area they should have multiple rocks that are ok...

    It's gonna be good bro,,, i would try to get that ph up aswell,, they have cichlid substrate that keeps ph high you might want to look into or buffers like chemicals.. You could jump start your bio filter with a couple things s also like I'd you have a friend with a tank,, try to get a sponge...

    I always treat my bb like my fish,,, that's just from the research ive found,,, but them again my tank had been established for years.. Way to hot for fish.. Although they say raising the temperature and upping salt dosage hers with ich bit never had that problem dye to water changes and good...
