    This is bad

Thus has been out for years, unfortunately. The only upside is that it says on the side of the tank "best used with goldfish that are around two inches in length. You will need to upgrade to a larger tank." Nit ideal, granted, but it's better than the standard.bowls that everyone buys. At least...

    Betta

Dont forget a heater. Its easier to find a good heater for a tank than a bowl.

    Redid my 5.5!!

Looks cool, but that bala needs to move up ASAP 37 gallons won't be sufficient for long. He's going to need at least a 75 gallon, and that's just for one. They are happier in schools, so ideally 3 of them in at least a 120.

    Unexpected new Addition-Pangasius Catfish

Not to be rude, but it's not really up to any store to tell you everything about every single fish. Petsmart in particular has clear signs telling you that Pangasius get 25+ and are semi aggressive. That being said, they dont grow hugely fast ibmy experience, so while waiting would be ok, I...

How much to sell a tank for?

My husband, daughter and I are moving in with a family member for a year or so to save up some money. We wont have as much space as we do now, so we've been downsizing. Right now, I have my 55 gallon, 46 gallon, and 5 gallon. I hope to sell the 46 gallon. My question is how much I should sell...

    Too much?

The hifin is going to my friends 180 african cichlid tank once he hits 8- 10 inches. Right now, hes only about 6 or 7 inches. I think the only reason I had a small issue last time (the "spike" was about two months ago) was there had been a dead and rotting bit of plant that was caught under a...

    Too much?

I'm having to restock my 55 gallon fish tank now that all my baby fish are out of there. The tank is heavily planted and has a canister filter rated for 125 gallons on it. I do weekly 50% water changes. Last time I missed a change (16 days between changes), I tested out of curiosity (API...

    35gal stocking list.

I wouldn't even do two angels in that size tank. If you end up with a breeding pair, they could get aggressive, fast, in that small of a space.

    Oh no!

While rearranging the living room, my husband cracked my ten gallon tank! My poor betta and african dwarf frogs didn't know what to do! Thankfully, my husband is a quick thinker. He managed to snag all of them before anybody was seriously hurt (though my bettas fins were torn up pretty good)...

Some lfs should be ashamed of themselves

This is part of the reason its so important to quarantine. That way you can ensure that the outbreak is limited to a very small population. Besides, Its not just big box stores that this happens to. Any store can have this issue. You run the risk of introducing diseases no matter where you shop.

    Oscars

Unfortunately, that tank is way too small for an oscar, and he is probably stressed. You would need at least a 280 liter tank for the fish to be healthy and not stressed. That being said, I would do a partial water change anyways. It never hurts and usually when fish are lethargic, it has to...

    ive decided

The oranda would definietly be a no-no. There are a few issues with this... -Goldfish get big. A 30 gallon tank would be big enough for the oranda and not much else. -Goldfish are colder water fish. The other fish you mentioned need warm water. -Goldfish are dirty, and produce alot of waste...

Third times the charm... BNP Guarding

I was doing a pwc on my 55 gallon yesterday and noticed my male BNP guarding again. I didn't get too excited since the last two batches of eggs he got lazy with and took "breaks" from. They ended up rotting. BUT! I looked a little closer cause I noticed some movement... And success! I have...

How much would you sell this for?

Scroll down for pictures. My husband and I may have to move into a relatives house for a little while, in which case we will have to downsize our tank collection. The only tank I would be keeping is my 55 gallon, but that is mostly because I have spent way too much time, energy, and money...
