Does anyone have experience with these lamp eyes? I saw them for the first time in my LFS and am trying to figure out how they get on with other fish (specifically guppies, tetra, and danios).

Be careful getting a plec for a 10 gallon tank. I had one in my 10g that I raised from about an inch to six inches before he had to be rehomed in a friend's larger tank. Now he is closer to 10 inches. While he was a fantastic algae eater, he pooed a lot, which meant religiously cleaning out...

Guppies are finicky for a starter fish and they breed like crazy. The tank will probably be quickly overpopulated unless you only get males.

Use google foo to find local aquatic shops. If you are in the States, Animart usually has a decent selection of fish.
